The father of the John Burns husband of Betsey Sheward is James, a locksmith, but his mother may not be an Ann at all.
The best clue comes from the fact that John gives his age as 22 on his marriage in 1856 - giving a birth year of 1834 - and the only suitable baptism in that year (in W'ton) is for a John whose parents were James & Ann Bourne.
As for James and Ann, the dates suggest this marriage may be relevant:
