Rev.Joseph Dale: "This William had for his first wife, 8th of May, 1701, Elizabeth Lovat of Lapley, who died in September, 1704 ; and by his second wife, Sarah Whiston, to whom he was married 13th of April, 1706, and who died 8th of April, 1741, he had issue Elizabeth, baptised 20th of November, 1707. He died in March, 1741, leaving by his first wife a son, William , baptised 18th of September, 1704, who married Lucy Whiston, 29th of June, 1732, and was buried 6th of June, 1770..."

Deed to lead the uses of a fine 1781/2/63 3 April 1729

Humphrey Manning agrees that he and his wifee will levy a fine of the Manor of Donington, with all property, except one tenement and lands belonging in Donington (John Picken and sold to Thomas Jellicorse). To the use of William Bishton and William Whiston on trust during the joint lives of Humphrey and Sarah to receive for her use half the rents and issues of the premises, the other half to be paid to Humphrey Manning. If Sarah survives Humphrey to have all the rents for her life, and if he survive her to have a yearly sum of £10. Half the manor &c to Thomas Jellicorse and his heirs forever, and the other half to Jonathan Ruston &c forever. Provided the estate being limited to Thomas Jellicorse and Jon.Ruston on trust that Thomas Jellicorse shall within 6 months after the death of the survivor of Humphrey and Sarah pay to Joseph Jellicorse of Donington, brother of Thomas, £20, to Elizabeth Bishton daughter of William Bishton of Killsall, Donington, £10, and Jonathan Ruston is at the same tie to pay to Sarah, Anne, Elizabeth and Rachel Ruston, sisters of the said Jonathan, £6 each. Thomas Jellicorse and Jonathan Ruston 6 months after the death of Sarah, at the cost of William Bishton jnr., son of William Bishton, are to convey to William Bishton jnr. their third part in 1 butt of land in a certain place in the Manor of Donington called the Green Furlong and adjoining to Killsall Green (William Bishton) and paying out of the said premises yearly 10/- for the use of the poor of Donington. Sarah may change the uses if she wishes.
