There are several problems with it - not least the absence of any record of the 'William Dovey' who witnessed Sarah's marriage and that of James Dovey (also missing) in 1780, probably the husband of Elizabeth, the godmother of Sarah's son.

There is no such marriage listed in the St.Peter's registers held by W'ton Archives, I suggest that this date was a guess based on the bap of on Thomas in 1793 (which was at SS Peter & Paul's RC Church).
