One worrying fact is that Joseph's dau Sarah was baptized in W'ton on the same day as 'brother' Thomas was married (18 Oct 1812) in Sedgley. Would a brother do that?

Joseph m Mary Perry in 1806 (witnessed by Mary Egginton - who is this?) but the Mary Ann (b1796 in Birmingham) as recorded in the censuses is not Mary Perry. Two bits of evidence support this: a) Mary Ann was only 10 or 11 in 1806 when Joseph was married, b) after Joseph's death, Sarah and Louisa are given as Step-daughters. This would mean that Mary Perry died sometime between 1819 and 1841 and Joseph then married a Mary Ann from Birmingham.
