Hannah Roden (Anc:Thomas Reden) 39 b:Shrewsbury marr, Thomas 10 b:Sheriffhales, Mary 7 b:Church Aston, Richard 5 b:Heath Town, John 2 b:Heath Town - There are two records of a James Roden being tried at Stafford Assizes for sheep stealing (8 Mar 1870) - acquitted - and for 'Larceny of 8 Fowls' (11 Mar 1870) - Guilty, sentenced to '18 month's hard labour'. He had previous convictions. Accomplice: 'John Lowe'. No ages recorded.
