There is at least one mistake in these notes - the problem is, I don't know where it is.Marriage Notes (Henry Careless)
There is also a real possibility that these notes relate to four different Anns:
1. The baptismal record and 1851 census (and maybe '71 too) outline one, the dau of John b1812 & Ann Reed. No other Anns b1848 in W'ton appear in censuses for these years.
2. The place of birth given in the '61 census suggests another but as this was Wednesfield, 'dittoed' for the whole family, it is probably not correct. The probability then, is that this too is the dau of John & Ann, now in service.
3. Fanny in '81, along with 3 yr old dau Sarah E in Compton might be a third. She appears to have taken over from Henry Careless b1821 as 'Fire Iron Maker' at the workshop in Compton. Henry is probably John b1812's brother. So, is she Henry's unmarried niece or his second wife (maiden name unknown), and widow (as indicated on the census) or both, and is Sarah Ellen truly is Henry's daughter as indicated by her marriage certificate of 1903.
4. The wife of Job might be a completely different Ann - but the presence of Sarah E suggests that it is Fanny from the '81 census.

My best guess is that this is the same Ann all the way through ie the dau of John b1812. I suspect that when Henry's wife Mary died in 1874, Ann moved in with her 50 yr old uncle, looked after him and hepled him in his trade (Fire Iron Maker). When Henry died in 1877 she was about 6 months pregnant and stayed on in the property and claimed to be a widow.
All of this theory might be just plain hogwash and could be shown to be so if a marriage certificate for Sarah Ellen's Mom is found.

The relationship proposed is based purely on the fact that in 1881 we find an Ann Careless b1848 living in the same property that the late Henry Careless (& wife Mary) occupied in 1871 and that she had with her a daughter, Sarah Ellen b1877, whose marriage certificate states that her father was Henry Careless.
