Egginton, Samuel, s. Rich., of Tamworth, co. Stafford, pp. ORIEL COLL., matric. 20 Nov., 1674, aged 16. src: Oxford University Alumni 1500-1714.
... is the one who married Mary Hair in 1681 although no other candidates are known about. If it is the case then the record gives us a rough date of birth and the name of his father. For the moment I will assume that it is.
Of the children, only the first two (Mary and Joyce) have a mother named.
There are a number of members of Ancestry and Genes Reunited (and no doubt other such organizations) who think that researching their family tree is simply a matter of looking to see what someone else has 'come-up with' and then presenting that work as their own.
The links between the records from this Samuel through to Thomas b1793 are based on reasoned guesswork. In this on-line tree, there are: incorrect assumptions; errors introduced by my software; typos; codes that I've added as memos and people who I've invented just for fun (some very obviously). I've seen all of these types of 'anomoly' copied from here to members' trees at both Ancestry and GR , and live-on sometimes years after they were corrected here.
